What causes sensors to fail?
My friend and I both bought Alpine SEC-150R's to install in our cars (mine's a 92 camaro, his is a 94 rx-7)
Now, a couple month's later, his is functioning correctly and my dual zone motion sensor died. What causes sensors to just up and die? If it helps, I installed it (the SEC-8036) in the center console, using the same ground the hatch switch uses. My impact sensor, pin switches, etc all still function.
Should I just take it into a shop and have the alarm reinstalled with a redundant siren, power supply and mercury switches for the axles?
