Help wiring tach

OK i am realy stupid but i need some help. I have a 85 camaro z28 tpi. I have a autometer tach and am trying to install it. I know where all the wires go except the green wire. I have no idea where it goes. I put it in where the stck tach goes but it is off alot . like the engine will be at 1500 rpm but tach says like 600? I have taken one tach back cause i just thought it was bad but this one does the same thing. Can someone show me a pic of where the green wire goes but with maybe a pic of good descrition of where. Thnx sry for my stupidity.. O both wires on back of tach are connected not cut. also what is the TACH Terminal and is there one on my ecm?? Thnx sry for the length.

On the part of your coil that the wires plug in2 you will see it saying right on it Tach and bat. The power to coil wire will be pluged in the one that says bat and your Tach goes in the other.
there is a nother 3 wires that come out but they go to ground and your modual so dont bother with them.
