Opinions on AutoPage Alarm System?

Hey guys, today I got quoted for $179 on an AutoPage 2600 alarm system. They also had all the DEI stuff but was a little more expensive. I also got quoted $209 on the 460 HP Python (by DEI). So which should I go with? He told me if I go with the AP, he would install a free hatch release for me. I know DEI makes good stuff, and everybody too thinks they do, but I haven't heard of Auto Page as much. He says he has the AP on his car and loves it. I can get a good warrany on both. Oh yeah, and the AP has a code scrambler so nobody can scan your code. So can anyone give me opinons on value/quality/ease of operation with the AutoPage? Thanks. -89IRO

Autopage makes some very nice alarm & remote starters. They also manufacture alpine's alarm products. Support is not as good as DEI though in the sense that the install manuals are not avaliable via the internet. And you do have to hunt around a little bit if you need replacement parts such as a spare remote fob.

As for code grabbers, all alarm systems manufactured within the past few years regardless of brand use some sort of rolling code system.

A thirdgen alarm, keyless entry, and remotestart install guide is avaliable here:

2V- thanks for the help. Since you are the only one that seems to know anything about alarms systems, I am going to ask you a few more questions, if you don't mind. Like I said above, I got quoted for $179 on the AP 2600. I looked on the autopage website, and all they showed for alarms was the rf-310 and rf-410, of course there are more complicated ones, but these two seem to be what I need. They didn't show the 2600 on their website, so is that an older model? I am assuming this guy is try to sell me an old model autopage at a good price. If so, should I stick to the 2600 or should I get the newer 310? Here are some links:

So just copy/paste those links and take a look. I think the 310 has more features than the 2600. I really appreciate you helping me out here. Thanks! -89IRO
