Can I clip my Siren?

I have the crappy old dealer installed clifford on my 91 Z. I have always had the siren turned of with the provided key. Starting tonight, while the car was driving, it would randomly chirp......very annoying, I have tried reseting it system turning it on and off. I just want to chop off the siren, while keeping my keyless entry.....Anyway Can I cut the one thick wire going to the siren?....or is it a bundle of 2 wires a ground and a hot and I have to cut them individually? In another post, it was mentioned that it would short the system out if I cut them at the same time.
Any help would be appriciated

does it have 2 thin red and white wires running to it? if it does i belive you cut just the red wire. you could always cut one and leave room to splice it back together if it doesnt work.
