Installing an electric fan

Ok I'm sure this question has been asked before but I haven't been able to find any replies that help me

Anyways; I just swapped out the MPFI 2.8l 6 in my 87 camaro for a non CC 305 out of an 85 berlie. I ditched the standard "belt driven" fan from the 305 in favor of my original electric fan, I now have the fan wired to a switch to turn it on/off, but i sometimes forget to turn it off. How do I wire the fan so it will come on & off at the right temp? I still have the remains of the V6 harness including the relays.

TIA,
Don

To have the fan turn off with the ignition, the +12 wire to the relay that switches it on needs to be on a circuit that switches w/the ignition. Also, instead of having the ECM as a ground since you don't have one, you could screw a JET fan switch into the block which turns on at 200° & off at 185. You could leave your switch inline with the temp. controlled switch to have a manual ground just in case something went wrong.
Also, I wouldn't worry about the 20 amp fuse off the battey if you still have the wires comming off the fusible link.
