blacklight wiring

i plan on having two 12" blacklights one by feet of driver, one by feet of front passenger. and one 12" right behind the pass. seat.
whats the best power source? what kind of switch? does anyone have a wiring diagram?
i plan on getting those autozone blacklights that plug into the ashtray, cut the plug off.
is there a better way of doing this?

Re: blacklight wiring

I am planning to hook at least a 18" or bigger bulb onto my T-Top brace in ceiling. Then get a plain white shirt on and drive around at night. Spooky!!!! hahahahahahahahaha.

I will let you know my wiring switches and how to hide it from the cops also. YEA!!!!!!!

Re: blacklight wiring

There should be a place on your fuse block that has the letters LPS (lamps) beside it - looks like an empty fuse slot, but it only has one hole (fuse has two prongs and thus needs two holes). That is a power source that only gets power when the lights (headlights) are turned on.

Re: blacklight wiring

You don't do either. There is an open slot - holds a standard 1/4inch male spade connector - crimp one on the power wire for the light, and stick it in the fusebox slot marked LPS. Ground the ground wire for the light anywhere metal.
