new mass air sensor problem
I just got my wells/conrad mass air flow sensor from world discounts, and i put it in when i got home from work. I took it out for a test run and off the line there is improvement. In top end while i am flooring it though it feels like it is going slower or something I know it is getting enough air cuz i have cold air(homemade) running up to my filtercharger(also homemade) which is taking place of my stock air box. I have had the filtercharger for a long time. It originally flowed 600cfm but i upgraded to a 1000cfm filter. it worked fine with my stock bosch sensor but it feels hesitent while flooring it with the wells/conrad. Whats up with that???

Try disconnecting the battery for about 10 secs. & then give the ECM a few miles of crusing closed loop to 'relearn' from the new MAF. It may/may not help but, it can't hurt.

It might just be leaning out at the top end too, if the new MAF allows for more air flow over the bosch MAF. An AFPR would help cure that by raising the fuel pressure. Or, as you said, the sensor might just be junk.
