Capacitor...and still, lights dim?

I put in a 1 farad capacitor. Yay. I have a Kicker ZR-360 driving one 12 inch subwoofer. However, My gauges still dimmed big-time even with the cap (which was charged) installed. Something may be wrong. Can anyone help me out or tell me some troubleshooting tips? Thanks.

Just curious, how new is your battery, I have a 1200W XRS powering 2 12" MTX's and I haven't yet reinstalled my power cap and I have no probs.

I don't know, I bought the car in January and the battery works fine. That couldn't be a problem....

It has like 650 cold cranking amps I believe (just so you know).

i also have three fosgate amps powering 2 orion 10"s some 6.5 mb quarts some fosgate 4x6 plates some mb quart 5.25's and a digital signal processor and i have no problems even when i did not have a cap.
check your battery and also your alternator. my lights would not dim down but you could tell a tiny bit when the bass hit but wasnt bad at all. so maybe you need a larger alternator. i know auto parts stores give free battery and alternator testing you might wanna try. (i never trust them because they want to sell you new stuff) but its worth a shot.
and yes your battery may be weak , not enough to not start the car but on its way out so it does not supply the amperage it should

650 cold cranking amps?! That's what I used to have and I had bad dimming problems. Then I got an Optima Red Top battery (1000 cold cranking amps) and haven't had a problem since. Even left my lights on for six hours and the car still started right up.
