BELT TENSIONER in L98
My tensioner on my camaro seems to be shaking every now and then and the bracket seems to have stress marks on it. can this be my alternator problem I have been trying to find for weeks now? And does anyone know what would make it shake once in a while. Thanx

i think the belt tensioner is there to keep tension on the belt so it does not slip on the pullies. as long as the belt tensioner moves up and down and has tension when moving up like when replacing a belt, then it is good.
i cant see how the bracket would have anything to do with the alternator.
your alternator might be going bad, or your battery needs mantainance.

it could be your amp causing a problem, i dont have a system in my car, i would suspect the more of a load on the battery the more of a load on the whole charging system and things start to break and/or wear down.
