Swapping from a 6K tach to an 8K tach!! Question within!
My car currently has a 6K tach and I've found an 8K tach out of a GTA!! Can I just unhook my tach and hook this one up in it's place ...the same way the old tach was hooked up and be done with it...or does something else need to be done too??? I've never changed a tach so honestly I don't even know how they hook up!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
As long as both engines have the same number of cylinders, you'll have no problem.

I think you ment to say 1989 but the V8 cars also came with a 8K tach.

I believe the Turbo GTAs had the boost gauge built in also! This setup is the entire gauge cluster and doesn't have the boost gauge so I'm pretty sure it's the one from the V8 GTA!
