valet switch install?

I want to install a "valet switch" so when others drive my car they get part instead of full throttle. How do I do it?

We have a mechanical cable for the throttle so scratch anything cheap and easy. Only other thing is to either get that JET 6 stages system or to buy a rev limiter which are usually built into Digital ignitions like MSD.

I don't want to pop the hood every time I want to engage the valet switch like you would with the throttle cable. That is if the cable did the valet function.

Yeah, couldn't you get an MSD and get the correct chip to limit the RPM to, say, 2800 or so?

I have a built TPI 383, it has monster torque especially from idle to 2800 rmp so a rev limiter will not do what I'm asking. I want to cut the torque/horsepower down when I let other un-experianced drivers drive.

so ya got lots of torque, just use a lesser rpm pill mine is set to 2200 rpm and uses a msd 2 step one for the normel 6000 and the other 2200 activated by grounding a wire to the 2 step.i have a key in my center console to activate the VALET MODE and it works great no need to worry when i take the car in for service that some punk is out beating my ride.and if the girlfrend is driving the car is still very driveable.
