Are digital ECU Readers worth it? What do they do?
Hey guys. Well, i have shorted my aldl a few times, to get my engine codes when a problem is amiss.
Haha but my question is, what good are the digital readers they sell? do they do the same thing? Are they worth the price? I mean, do these things check voltages running to diffrent things? (like can i check the voltage running to my MAF) with it?
Thanks!

The number of parameters displayed by the scanning tools (like Diacom, or AutoXray, etc.) depends on the ECM you have. For example, the carb ECMs display less info than the newer TPI ECMs. The tools are very valuable for tuning and diagnosing problems. Contact the mfgr fro info on your particular setup.
