No injector pulse / Fuel Pump

Ive got a an 85 IROC that I am swapping in an 89 L98. Got a harness from an 87 IROC. Installed new harness and motor.
I have full power to entire car. When you turn key you dont hear fuel pump turn on (have new fuel pump in) and injectors dont pulsate. I have a new chip from Ed Wright to eliminate VATS. Tried a new computer and different chips to get something. No luck. Sounds like a VATS problem but the chip should eliminate that. Should try an 88 computer without VATS ? I am stuck.
Thanks

No injector pulse

Hey I also recently swaped out a 2.8 mpfi to a 5.7 tpi im also experiecing the same problems as you. I had to hard wire my fuel pump to get it to work. what did you do?? I think I know what my problem is but im not sure how to wire it up. My engine compartment harness is from an 88 iroc and my dash harness is from an 86 coupe. some of the wires dont match up, plus the 5.7 harness does not have the seperate injector wires they are pink, pink/black, and tan/white. Ive tried some differnent combinatins of wiring but im begginning to think its somthing else? maybe we can work togther to solve each others probs or if anybody else can help id really appreciate it!!!

The ECM requires the pulse signal from the "reference" output of the distributor module, and the VATS signal input - if VATS is not disabled in the PROM to fire the fuel injectors.

fuel pump prob

Allright this i what i figured out on mine so far. I bought the vat disabler chip. It was 180 dollars and it did absoultly nothing.. But it also helps on performance so no biggy. On my tpi harnes there is a plug that has something to do with the fuel pump it is somewhere near the battery i dunno where it was put stock. But i have it there. It has about 6 terminals on it and the conector is laid flat. If somebody knows where it goes to....HELP! PLEASE.

alright i have just about every thing plugged in and i am still getting no fuel. I have an 86 so i dont have vats. All my gauges are working so the thing that does not make the fuel pump come on should be coming on because if i crank it for a little it will goe all the way up to 45psi. I also have a connector by the battery that i can not figure out where it goes it leads back to the relays near the driverside firewall and it is a rectangle with 2 prongs in it that has a black wire on one and a red/ orange wire on the other one. but i have all power even the gauges work and spark but no fuel so can someone please help me. And btw how do you wire a switch for the pump?? and where exactly is the fuel pump relay??

fuel pump

allright dude your fuel pump relay is on the firewall next to all the other relays in the corner on the driver side just look at a wiring diagram to find out the color of wires that are going to it and youll find it. and that plug with the read and oarnge wire is the inline fuse fo the fuel pump. you should have a 20 amp fuse in it i think. ok i need you to do a favor for me... with the key in on position check how many volts are goin to you injectors.im getting b+ on both sides which is like 12.4 volts. but i dont think its right
