Sketching in fuel and timing maps to minimize mileage lost asap?????

Officially joined the burners ranks today acquired programmer/diacom/tunercat in one fell swoop :-)
I am a certified jaguar technician as well as ASE certified so i do grasp what all the numbers mean and how the ecm sees them as... Also have some lite experience with speedpro/fast and dfi setups(nothing major but can wing some of it)

91 Formula 350
Swapping my car over to vortec heads and tpi intake/LT4hotcam along with 1.6 rr and headers....have about 4 days to pull this off and get car back on road for mondays drive to work :-)

Im not really worried about reading what the ecm is seeing , i understand as far as blm/int function and kpa to map etc.. my only real concern is driveablitiy and fuel mileage after the initital swap and th fastest way to get a rough fuel/timing curve in place so im not emptying my tank going 30 miles to and from work?

what are the best ways to rough in your curves to get the car as driveable as possible in short as time as possible?
no, not perfection that will take nothing but time and further learning :-) Trying to maintain some type of mileage as i am forced to drive her as soon as she is roadworthy and want to minimize major richness or leanness in the cruiseing speed range? Please let me know how u guys approach it or tricks u use to get yourselves in the ballpark
thanks and greatly appreciated

If you don't know where the ecm is operating, you don't know where to change things.

Build a WB so you can see what's going on.
