v-8 Memcal?

v-8 Memcal?
I am doing a chip for someone, and when I went to read the file off of their chip with tunercat (8d file. speed density) it said that is was a 6d. I know that the spark stuff on the memcal is specific for v-8, v-6 etc. WHat application is a 6d, I couldn't find it on tunercat's website. THanks, they are doing a tpi 350 in a street rod, and I was just killing vats and changing the injector constant.

What was different on the memcal, was it the spark stuff/limp home stuff? I am assuming that this won't work and he will need to get a v-8 memcal out of something? THanks, I found a memcal out of a 90 Caddy 4.5 of ebay, will this v-8 memcal work?

This brings up an interesting question. Other than differences in the limp home and EPROM content, what ECM Memcal sticks will fit in our cars? I mean, what ECM types have the same size/shape Memcal? So far, we have:
1227165
1227730
1227749
1227727
I'm sure there are more, and would like to see a more complete list of ECMs which accept 28-pin EPROMs into their Memcal sticks and could be potentially used as Memcal donors on our cars.

I was under the impression that the other stuff on the speed density chips (the silver board soldered over the limp home) is spark stuff and is specific to the cylinder count/firing order? Is this correct, or will this corsica memcal this guy gave me to burn on work? Thanks. Again does anyone know if this 90 caddy v-8 memcal will work?

Once again, if we assume that the Memcal content is changed out (EPROM content, resnets, etc), what Memcals will 'fit' into the TPI ECMs socket header?

I believe while the memcals will fit..the logic is cylinder specific. I have heard of people stripping a memcal and soldering their own netres onto a generic memcal but what is all involed code wise I am not sure.

Period.
The memcal set the the hardware for cylinder select, the RFC, and K/S. None of which you want to experiment with unless your out to risk your engine to the dead engine gods.
