Data freezes when Hard Drive is logging/saving data?
When i hit the L button to log data using Craig's programs (new or old) when the Hard Drive light comes on (saving data) the values on the screen freeze up for about 20s and then when the HD light goes off the values change.
Is this an indication of a slow Laptop or different problem?
I am using 486, 33MHZ, 4MB RAM Laptop. I use DOS when usnign the program.
I am looking for suggestions guys.
Thanks.

I'm using a DX4/75 with 24mb of memory and I get about 3 seconds delay when what's buffered is written to the hard drive. There are no skips in the data collected though and I can't watch the screen much while driving since the laptop is laying on the seat of my truck. So, I'd say your laptop speed has a lot to do with it.
Might try running the old smartdrv.exe with that DOS bootup and enable write buffering. Read up on it for versions of 6.3 DOS. I bet it'll help.
Gotta love that Craig Moates program, huh!?!
