Aldl pinout
Does anyone know the pinouts for the ALDL connector for a '97 Lumina (I assume the same as '93 and up camaro). The Diacom cable I received (from Rinda) has three wires, I assume Rx, Tx and ground but the cable does not work. Before I send the cable back I just want to see if it is a simple pinout problem that I can fix myself.
Thanks
Thanks

It might be best to talk to Rinda on that one. Are you sure that the version of Diacom you are running supports 1997s? My version only supports 1995s and then I must buy an upgrade - and I am not sure if it can handle the OBD II systems.

I have version 2.83 of Diacom Plus, I am not sure what year it goes up to but I know it is at least '94 and I can not get this cable to link to anything, even a '93 grand am.
I think your right that I will probably have to send the cable back to Rinda. I know it's not the computer or settings because I have no problems linking to my third gen f-bodies using the other cable.
The one thing I did notice though is that the cable has pins going to 5,6,9 and the cars aldl connector has connectors for pins 2,4,5,9,16 so it seems like pin 6 on the cable goes no where.
This is actually the first time I ever tried to use this cable, because when I upgraded my diacom I was mostly doing so to upgrade to the Plus version to be able to graph stuff. Now my wifes Lumina is throwing a code and I wanted to try to see what's being set. I was hoping someone with a working cable could just verify the pin #'s for me to save some time of sending the cable back.
Thanks Again,
Bill
