BLM learn and closed loop, 2 different things? how?

BLM learn and closed loop, 2 different things? how?
What is the difference between learn mode and closed loop?
I thought they were the same thing. Once the ecm goes into closed loop doesn't it start changing the INT and BLM? If that's the case then doesn't it go into learn mode?
I looked at my datalog from winaldl and the flags don't sinq. I haven't looked at all the logged parameters together but I thought I'd post to see if somebody knows the reasons why this is happening.

Learn mode is when the BLM function is enabled, which is usually at a higher coolant temp than the closed loop enable temp. When closed loop is enabled, the integrator changes to bring the AFR to stoich. I've learned quite a bit from the data I've logged using Craig's software.

No, they are not the same thing. There are at least 3 closed loop timers, that need to time out for it to start learning. Depends on how fast your O2 sensor heats up. You could be in closed loop, but not learning yet. Also, learn control goes off when you hit highway mode. It won't use the O2 sensor readings, just goes by the tables in memory.

closed loop status
i was just wondering if there are any benifits to going closed loop
that early? or down falls?
especially being at the track coolant temps run very low,i know at full throttle your in open but will there still be a benifit?
