Can't get datastream on TunerPro RT
I have an L03 1992 RS Camaro and I've been trying to get TunerPro to work for me, since I am interested in burning my own PROMs. I got the cable the other day, got WinALDL to work just fine, but can't get TunerPro to work.
I have downloaded the Bin definition and ALDL datastream definition files here for mask $61 (ECM 1228746).
http://www.tunerpro.net/downloadBinDefs.htm
I have downloaded the AXKW Bin File from this library, since I have a manual transmission this is the only one I dared to use so far.
ftp://ftp.diy-efi.org/pub/gmecm/bin_lib/
I have configured TunerPro RT to run all of these files and I'm still getting no datastream. When I open the AXKW bin file however I get an error message that reads "could not open settings file". The header at the top of the window still reads "TunerPro RT - AXKW.BIN ][ XDF File - 61v3.xdf"
So is there something wrong with the AXKW bin file? I can't find another one to download, should I just attempt to run a bin configured for an auto trans model? I'm pretty green at this so I don't want to have to modify a bin, but I've spent about 8 hours straight just trying to get an ALDL datastream and I got nothing. However, the second I start WinALDL I get streaming data with no hesitation.

Re: Can't get datastream on TunerPro RT
Do you have tunerpro set to read the correct com or usb port your ALDL cable is plugged into?
As for not opening the bin I dunno.....
Another thing if your up to it look into swapping to a 7427 pcm running the $0D mask. I upgraded from the 8063 to it. It runs the car much better than the older ecm's, you can run electric fans with it if you add some custom code and you get faster datalogging with more data. It's also easier to tune to me because it has tables that go all the way to 6400rpm and does away with all the adder tables.
