Long cranking before starting whether warm or cold
Most of the solutions i see to this problem involve cars that have the issue only when cold or warm. I am having this issue at all times with my current tune and im not sure what needs to happen to change it. I have played with startup enrich vs coolant temp by adjusting the numbers up with no change and down with no change. I also played with cranking pulse width vs coolant temp again adjusting up and down and didnt really see any difference. Once the car is started (finally started) it idles pretty smooth. When its fully warm it idles a tad rough after startup until i start driving it and then it smooths out again. Im lost and it doesnt help that im new to tuning. I just spent an hour doing some reading trying to find any answer that would help me with no real success.

Forgot to mention that putting my foot halfway or fully down on the gas does not make it start faster or slower that i can tell.

I do know that if the fuel pump relay is bad, the oil pressure sensor takes over for it. Meaning that a bad relay will cause the no-start until the engine builds significant oil pressure. Test the fuel pump relay......... see what you get. I am new to tuning as well, and that is pretty much all of the advice I have at the moment.

I have a chip burned from TPIS for a previous motor that will start this motor quickly so unfortunately its in the tune. I cant run that chip however as it does not have good AFR's for this motor.

Do a side by side comparison with the TPIS bin and see which settings do not correspond.

Not unreadable, get a memcal header from Craig. I got lucky and the APU1 I bought on eBay came with more than I thought..... I got the APU1, 7 proms, a memcal header, an adaptor, and a $100 Pelican case. The memcal header let me burn the stock bin for the engine that is in my truck. The stock bin for my engine is APYN, 1989 350 federal emissions, which made me feel better since the engine I pulled out of the 89 Iroc-Z Camaro matched the Memcal that I pulled as well. Then I stuffed it in a 4X4 S10.
Memcal Header, get ahold of Craig, he has them in stock.

Re: Long cranking before starting whether warm or cold
Thank you so much. That was it. in row 1-9 it was all zeros. I put in some very small numbers and it fired up a ton sooner. Im going to play with that table a bit more and see if i can get it to fire off quicker than this but so far this is the most success ive had with the startup. Now to fix my idle issue....

That'll do it, more then 2 full revolutions before the engine gets fuel.
