Proportional gain question #6

Steady cruise, consistent MAP TPS RPM coolant temp

Map 26 BLM at 138 with INT at 125 runtime 07.18

Map 30 BLM at 135 INT at 119 @7.20

Map 30 BLM 133 INT 119 @7.21

Map 30 BLM 132 INT 122 @7.22

Map 30 BLM 132 INT 123 @7.23

Map 32 BLM 131 INT 123 @7.24

So Q is the fact that INT is stable can we assume my proportional gains(multiplier vs airlow) is set correctly at 200% of stock LO3 values from that EBL.bin ?

I am at 26 lbs FP with 75 lbs injectors.

Ron,

RBob told me that your Prop Gains are off if at steady cruise you hear the motor sounding a bit like a bad u joint. Something like an oscillation. If the motor note is steady and monotonous, should be good to go.

No oscillation. Just some bucking when under no load 1 or 2nd gear(manual) at 10-15 mph. If I load the engine goes away.

I used your prop tables.

Ron,

You may want to lower the PG at the 0-16gms/sec area. Also, make sure you flatten out the timing in the idle area of the SA table along w flattening out the VE table in the decel area (Low MAP/0-1200rpm).

Re: Proportional gain question #6

Thanks. Idle is very smooth. Idle SA is locked at 20.

Are you sugggesting I make all SA values 1200 and below with MAP 20-50 all the same?

When I come off idle and am driving very slowly I am at approx 25dsa give or take 2 deg. Seems already flat.

I just made make all values for VE the same for 400-1100 RPM and 20-40 MAP the same

Are you referring to PRP-Gain mult vs airlow as well as Duration offset?

Ron,
I don't have the latest EBL .xdf in front of me but I am referring to the
O2 sensor prop gain v air flow table. At least that's what its called here in
overhead cam world .

On the idle SA, I was just suggesting making it the same value in the SA table idle rpm/MAP region(surrounding cells) as it is for Closed Throttle SA.

"I just made make all values for VE the same for 400-1100 RPM and 20-40 MAP the same". RBob suggested this to me and it really tamed the off throttle oscillation for me. LT-5s have a tendency to want to seesaw at low rpm. If you're tooo aggressive on the IAC controls, they'll stall.

Re: Proportional gain question #6

As a reference I had "gain mult vs airflow " about triple that of LO3.bin. I reduced 25%

"duration offset vs airflow" I had about double LO3. I reduced 25%.

I will reduce another 25% tomorrow if no effect.

I thought 75 lbs inj's at 26 lbs would be sluggish so one should add the the PRP.

what is is about the low airflow area of those tables that would need less than high flow areas?

I found out I idle at 19 so I move that gram/sec value <25%.

Will see how that works. actually a log of my idle today looked preetty good. I idle steady at 825. Only thing that changes is the sPW moves 1.6-1.8 mostly 1.7-1.8. I cant avoid that as my FP is so high(N20).
