Just converted from 8D to S AUJP V4.....
And first off...wow at the added definitions...thanks to JP and everyone else for making this happen. Secondly, I've been reading that there is a fault with the Extended VE table. According to JP, Highlight the item.
Press ""F2"
Change the address box to "09A0"
Save.
Table will now look correct
When I highlight the VE Extended Table and hit F2 I see 099D....is this correct?
Secondly, I've replaced the bin file with a new 1026a file and transferred all of my data to it. Started the truck up...idle to 1500 rpms(13.7 to 14.4 A/F ratio)...same as before the definition swap but once I hit 1600 and up...I go way lean (16:1 to 20:1). I have transferred all of the numbers over and smoothed it all out with the extra tuning abilities. So, is the problem the definition above or is it now just leaner with the new definition. I'm hoping that this will unleash more power now that from what I've read the stock 8D definition is power limited. If nothing else....it makes tuning the engine that more accurate.
I'm in open loop running a LC-1 wideband for tuning and TunerPro software.
Thanks for the help!

Re: Just converted from 8D to S AUJP V4.....
The "99D" is incorrect.
Change to "9A0" or ("0x9A0" designating it as a hex number)
Then save your file.
Perform the other corrections noted in the "Released" thread and the file will be up to date.
You should do a compare differences between your starting file and the one you transferred your settings to. If the definition address was incorrect when that was done your values will be in the wrong place (not good) Set up you original bin in the compare, then do differences after the XDF and ADX files have been updated. You should see if anything is out of place then.
The extended VE table included is only an interpolated version of the stock upper table. It must be tuned to your setup so it will not be able to run "as-is".
Be sure to turn on the extended table use via the bit selection or you will be running from the stock upper table.
The 1600 and up is the indicator that you may not be running the upper table you think you are.
The same is true for the extended P.E. table. You must select to use it and then adjust accordingly.

Re: Just converted from 8D to S AUJP V4.....
Thanks. When I did do the 09A0, I noticed that my tables shifts around about 85kpa to 100 kpa are way lower than the rest of the VE tables...now I just need to adjust them back and it will be correct again. Is this correct when doing the switch?
Also, another question, since its just an interpolated table then should we leave the values alone in the 5600rpm VE table as a reference or can we zero them out.
Thanks!

Re: Just converted from 8D to S AUJP V4.....
JP, just fixed the other two coolant tables for the o2 sensor and Crank PW....i didn't see anything else. Do I have them all?
i have adjusted my VE extended table in the 90-100 kpa areas to accomdate for the shifting in the VE table.
Thanks!

Do a diff tool on an original 1026a file and your current bin.
Do not check the box, for defined items only.
If any BLUE items show up as code changes restore them to the original values.
I'm always concerned that when the table was imported from your old bin and the XDF was incorrect, data or code could be wrong so best to check it again.
As far as the original upper table goes, it doesn't matter either way because it is not running in the code.

Re: Just converted from 8D to S AUJP V4.....
Ok, now I'm confused. When I click on the blue areas...nothing comes up for 099D, 099F, and 099E....how in the world do I change those?

Re: Just converted from 8D to S AUJP V4.....
Well, I just did the easiest thing I knew how to do and that was start over from the beginning with a new v4a bin file with the correct xdf file and just copied everything over again...no blue items this time.
However, the CheckSum stuff I need to leave as the new bin correct instead of the old one?
Thanks!

Yep, Checksum recalculates each time you save your bin so it will always be different than the starting point.
That was the best thing to do.

That XDF has 0x99D which was the error (No files have ever had 0x98E for the extended table)
Redownload the 1026.zip file and then edit the corrections into the files.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but has anybody had luck editing S_AUJP_V4a in Tunercat?I sent them the XDF file at their request and have not had a response yet.
