Re: my SAUJP thread- cool startup surge *FIXED*

Sounds like the 9.xx in the retard table and the advance of 4.xx was a good move to lower them.
The IAT and other temp sensors use the lookup table because they are not linear output.
Removing the "send to lookup table" will show you the raw hex value from 0-255.
At least you might have got the surge under control.

now if i can only figure this annoying IAT temp sh*t. is there a way to display the raw values in the ADX?
increased the values by 1* in the timing error tables and the idle settled right after startup. my theory, the ECM uses the timing to control idle until the engine reaches a certain temperature then time frame. not sure what the qualifiers are or where they are located but the ecm must use those error tables for initial startup, the values in those tables limit how much timing the ecm can advance or retard the timing. how fast the ecm controls the logic must be somewhere in the code, i would assume that they are similiar to IAC prop gain values. but hey, im a novice so WTH

now anyone know how to get the raw MAT/IAT to be displayed in the ADX?

*edit* thanks JP just saw your post lol. i actually increased those values in the error tables to give the ecm more timing control to use. reducing those seems to limit how much the ecm can advance/retard timing

Re: my SAUJP thread- cool startup surge *FIXED*

ok so i just tried to read IAT as raw value and its stuck on 55. i think i need to go back further. i know for a fact its working because i can ajust the MAT tables and it directly affects the A/F ratio depending on what the amb temp is. i have to highlight a few rows at a time but either way it still works. what is the path for the data to be recognized in TPV5? im seeing packet offsets and commands, anyone know what they should be?
