No ECM control of timing

Running the EBL flash. It isn't controlling the timing. The only timing I have is initial timing, with or without the bypass unplugged. When I do unplug the EST bypass, I get the CEL, and timing is still the initial at the distributor. With the EST plugged in, still get only the initial timing. Replaced the module, but nothing changed. Think it could be a bad pickup coil?

No, if it were a bad pickup coil it would not have spark.

Call EBL or email for tech support. He has a great reputation for backing his product.

Actually, va454ss has been in contact with me. I didn't respond to this thread as he wanted input from others in case I missed something (it happens).

The problem has been worked out. Don't get crazy with the initial timing.

RBob.
