Data Log help?

Hi everyone,

My 92 SD GTA has a cold start problem, it will instantly fire then die, fire then die, you must hold the starter for aprox 10 sec or so then it will slowly chug to life, I have my LC-1 up and running it shows rich then goes very lean, What do i adjust i have TP/RT with the WB wired directly in, just need some opinions on the log thanks . BTW it is running SAUJP with all of my personal settings.

Does SAUJP have cold start issues? Maybe it is just my specific combo that is causing this. any opinions appreciated. Thanks GTA.

Oh, How the heck do i attach a Log File? I tried and i get a invalid extension message

Re: Data Log help?

Update,

Ok, I think i may have found a problem, My "old" Bin works just fine ...the car fires right up with no problems, it is a Pre SAUJP version, And with this bin my LC-1 data info is frozen on screen. I had a friend copy all of the settings to a SAUJP Bin. when i use the difference tool it tells me there are 0 bytes difference. When i upload this updated version my car will not start good at all, there is no check engine light you just have to hold your foot on the gas, AND the LC-1 info is there ...live and rolling just as it should.

1. Does the SAUJP have a known cold start problem?

2. Why does it act so strange when the program is the same from bin to bin?

thanks GTA.... BTW there is only a cold start issue, after it warms up it runs great...hot starts are no problem...just cold.

Re: Data Log help?

Which version of SAUJP are you using? The newer versions require making changes to certain tables without using copy and paste. Version 1026 and newer are this way. JP86SS includes a PDF file with the download that explains what changes were made to the SAUJP file.

Re: Data Log help?

Stall I'm not seeing anything to comment on,
One thing I noticed is that you go lean after extended running in OL at cold start.
Was rich until 20 deg in your log, then the IAC came off of 160 and began to close down to control idle speed. Then there was a linear progression of leaning out.
The CL enable is set for 50 deg C instead of the 20 C that was default.
The CL timers have also been increased in time so the problem is being allowed to persist.

Cross counts were happening pretty quick after startup so you could get it under control as soon as the sensor warms up.
Sensor reported ready under 2 mins runtime (just as the leaning hit AFR of 15) Coolant was right at 20 C at that point too.
The AFR came right back once CL hit, you may want to reduce that temp enable and shorten the cold start enable timer.
