EPROM/Chip Switcher Suppliers

Currently looking into acquiring a ready to go EPROM switcher and have only found info on building ones yourself or schematics. I know they are a bit dated with people using multiple bins on one chip, but any help would be appreciated.

(The one posted here [external link] is pretty much exactly what I need, but no supplier was listed; http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...-motronic.html)

Re: EPROM/Chip Switcher Suppliers

Why wouldn't you just use multiple bins on the same EPROM? Seems like a much simpler and easier solution.

Re: EPROM/Chip Switcher Suppliers

LOL, just use a SF512 and stack BINs on it... you can throw 4 16K or 2 32K BINs for multiple tunes, then just switch the highest address pin(s) from +5V to ground to change tunes... i made a DIY version for a whopping $.15, but it looks ghetto as hell. moates sells a nice setup, it's a bit tall though.

Or he could use a AM29F040B (4MBIT) EEPROM, and have up to 16 32Kb bins, with the right switcher.

Re: EPROM/Chip Switcher Suppliers

but it won't drop in a 28-pin DIP socket!

and i think you meant 16, not 26

i've got a pair myself, work great with the G3, but it would be nice if they could be integrated into a MEMCAL as easily as the 28-pin PROMs.

Yeah, this is a 28pin DIP, going into an a modded ECM with somewhat limited space lengthwise. Also going to be using stock chips, one for E85, one for E10/pure gas. Also, the ECM being used has 1MB images, not 32/16K.
