Help wiring in LC-1 to 730 ecm
Hi,
I am trying to wire in my LC-1 into my 7730 ecm. I have located the Unused
"A3" pin that i will use for the input, my question is is it really this easy? I am currently using TP/RT V5 it already has the WB set up in there. Has anyone else done this that would be willing to help a rookie walk through it ? thanks GTA

Re: Help wiring in LC-1 to 730 ecm
- Physically Connect Output wire to A3 or F14
- Set bit in bin file if using "A3" pin, Clear bit for "F14" Pin.
- Set bit in bin to use the "Raw" output from the WB
Select only 1 option for a WB setup.
This "RAW" one is for full 0-5 volt/0-255 count output to the datastream.
If two WBs are selected, the first one wins and you may not get the reading right because it would be scaled for a different WB output.
- Confirm your scale within the LC-1 is outputting the full 0-5 volt range that equals 7.35 to 22.29 AFR
- Open ADX editor
- Click "Add New Item"
Give it a Unique ID value (anything works here)
Type description as desired "LC-1 with full scale output"
Units override = AFR
Packet offset = 0x24 | 36
Source Data Size = 8 bit
Range Low = 7.35
Range high = 22.299
alarms (if you want)
Alarm Low = 12.0, Enabled
Alarm high = 15.0, Enabled
- Click conversion tab and click "Set"
Argument type = Native
Output Format = Floating Point
Output Digits = 2 (If you only want 1 decimal then make this 1)
- Save

JP,
One more question, what do i do with the " stereo" connections? must i use the terminator plug that comes with the LC-1 or do i just disregard both the In and out stereo plugs? As per instructions which wire do i connect to the unused A3 port "yellow" analog 1 or "brown" analog 2? thanks GTA

Re: Help wiring in LC-1 to 730 ecm
The default settings in the LC-1 should be the brown wire scaled to be the WB, yellow wire scaled for the NB.
Run the brown wire.
Terminator plug must be installed to terminate the network from the LC-1 IIRC.

JP, hi
I also forgot to ask, "If" i need to extend the stock wires that came on the LC-1
can it be done without affecting the accuracy of the unit? I am not sure if i can reach the ECM without extending them as i found and used a "Grommet" that is located near the steering column. Thanks GTA

Re: Help wiring in LC-1 to 730 ecm
The "loose" power and signal wires can all be extended without worry.
Solder and shrink wrap them good so you don't have problems later.
The Sensor connector and wires I would not attempt to do anything with.
