Re: Prominator
Yes mine failed I believe in same manner. It did get a significant amount of flashes over 2 years of use. In fact I still have the Prominator in box on parts shelf. Prominator people offerred to repair for small fee but I opted to go EBL.
I believe the internal flash chip was dying or maybe the flux capacitor. I forget!

Re: Prominator
ok so I find this to be a strange issue. Like I said when I try to send a bin in via the Prominator software(green arrow) I get the "0 Bank" "download failed". But if I goto the Tuner Pro software and open the same bin in Tuner Pro. Then I click on the arrow in the header of Tuner Pro "upload current bin to emulator" the bar graph at the bottom of the Tuner Pro screen goes green and says " upload successful" so does that mean it took the bin into the Prominator(emulator)???

Re: Prominator
Yeah I've been Emailing Bill Hitchcock and he's been very helpful. If I understood him correctly Moates now owns the Prominator. But Bill was thinking my flash chip has gone bad. So I just spoke to Craig Moates and I am sending him my Prominator for repair.

Re: Prominator
I just remembered. When I was using Prominator with EBL I would get a malf prom flag. EBL has three flags for each error. low-medium-high. I would see low flag on intermitantly and reflashing sometimes cleared and sometimes not. As it got worse I would need to reflash once a week. Total failure occurred as well on cold start or while driving soon after cold start without regard to recent flash. However can ran OK with flag on low. Eventually it failed in entirety.
I would be willing to sell my kaput Prominator Pro with dip switch but someone would need to swap out the flash chip. Let me know what Moates charges you if that is Ok?
