Open Loop Decel? 7747 42 Mask
Been trying to get open loop decel to work but no luck. Fighting bad decel surge and wanted to see if this would help. Option word 6 bit 3 Set. Tried various setting of open loop decel MPH, RPM, and CTS thresholds with no luck. (LD2A5, LD2A6, LD2A7) Am I missing somethin?
Using ASDZ bin.

Re: Open Loop Decel? 7747 42 Mask
For open loop decel the ECM needs:
Bit 3 of $D006 set, the option flag
CTS at $2A7, this is an inverse value. Make it 255 for -40*C
TPS% at $29F, the throttle needs to be lower then this. Try using 5% (13 in BIN), note that this is also the "in idle" TPS% threshold.
MPH, at $2A5, the vehicle speed needs to be higher then this. Try using 0 MPH
RPM, at $2A6, the engine speed needs to be lower then this. Try using 6375 RPM (255 in BIN)
Then a status bit is checked, L0008, bit 7. This bit is set by the ECM when it is OK to go into closed loop. So the O2 needs to be active. Needs to be above the closed loop enable CTS, and the go into closed loop timers have expired.
If all the above is OK the AFR is loaded from $2A8 and used as the commanded AFR.
That should put the ECM into open loop on decel.

Re: Open Loop Decel? 7747 42 Mask
Thanks for the info RBob.
I tried the setting and it still does not appear to be working.
No worries though....there is an EBL on the way for it. Done messing around with it.
