looking for software

just wondering what software would be best for scanning...not looking to modify prom...yet. just need some accurate readings. i've got an 89 firebird 305 t.p.i. with '7165 ecm. tried tts, but won't work with my cable, or i cant get it to, it wants a serial aldl and i'm using usb. any help would be cool

I think I remember something about the maf cable needing a 10k resistor somewhere to put the ecm in a mode to get data from it. does your cable have a switch on it somewhere? and tunerpro works as a data logger. just need a .ads file to match what running.

My Datamaster works fine with my USB. Are you sure you're setting it up correctly? IMO, Datamaster is the best datalogging software for our cars.

I said try Tuner Pro its free also. Good for if you decide to get into tuning down the road also.

hey dude, just wondering how you have it all set up i have the USB and tried using datamaster and no bones. My ECM id is 1227730 but the program doesn't seem to communicate with the program at all and i do have the right version for my car, any hints?

Are you selecting the correct com port when trying to datalog?
