1228746 for TPI setup

Propably this question is a bit silly but i'll never know if i won't ask.

I run 383 HSR on '165, i want switch to '730 but it is hard to find this ECM in Poland, my friend just gave me this 1228746 ECM which is 350 TBI SD and i was wondering if is it possible to use with MPFI setup ??

Re: 1228746 for TPI setup

You would be better off with the '7165 over a stock '8746 ECM. If you want to move to a speed density setup there are a couple of options. There is the Aussie '808 code that will run in the '165, or can keep looking for a '7730 (maybe purchase one from someone in the US?).

The main issue with the '8746 is that the injector firing rate will be twice what it should be for MPFI. Secondary issues are smaller tables, which compromises the tune over what a '165 or '7730 (masks $32, $6E or $8D) provide. Although there is a fix for these issues.
