XDF for $4D (8063) ECMs
Hi!
I'm searching for a XDF-File for 8063 ECMs. I've already downloaded the one from the moates website (8063.xdf) but i'm not sure if it works correctly. I've changed some values but it didn't seem to work. Does someone have a different (working) file?
Thanks,
Mat

I made that XDF years ago. The 8063 XDF isnt complete, but the basic stuff there should work ok. What did you try to change that didn't work?

For a simple test, I changed "Max cold engine speed" from 1400 to 1000rpm because the car idles very high if it's cold. But it didn't change anything.

Re: XDF for $4D (8063) ECMs
Its been about 5 years since Ive worked with the older ECMs, but if I recall, the max cold engine speed is only used once the ECM has gone into closed loop idle. After start-up, I believe the idle speed is primarily controlled by the IAC steps vs. coolant temp. That defines where the IAC will be moved to after restart. It sounds like the steps are too high in certain areas.
