How to get higher than 14.7.1 Afr??

I keep reading that peaple are getting into the 15.1 Afr while cruising. Now Im wondering how to accomplish this with a 7747 ecm?? Ive tried Highway spark adder with no luck. And I cant see how i will get leaner afr's at light loads when the ecm will continue to try and get to stioch 14.7.?? Can someone enlighten me Please?? I herd some say that you need to change the commanded afr vs load etc. But I dont see that anywhere in the 7747 $42 bin of definition files?? Any help please

There's a program for 7747 highway fuel mode, you need to locate this and it will fix you up. Do a search, I just recently downloaded it myself.

Re: How to get higher than 14.7.1 Afr??

I have tried the Highway fuel/spark mode with no success. It only has a map table that goes to 50map to engage the extra spark and I will cruise at about 50-70map so that wont work.Anyone got any other thoughts.

What 1991CamaroRslow posted about is a patch for the '7747 ECM. It is a lean cruise option. Works decent.

RBob.

Re: How to get higher than 14.7.1 Afr??

Download this zip file. There's a HIWAY747.TXT file that explains as follows
How to apply patch:

Copy your current bin to another file to be modified.

Enter the command:

s19_pat hiway_42.s19 0xD000 file2bepatched.bin

Note the last argument is the name of the file that you want
to be patched. This utility patches THAT file.

Make any changes to the thresholds and tables, calc the
checksum, burn a EPROM and test drive!

Re: How to get higher than 14.7.1 Afr??

according to the filenames in the zip it should be:
Code:
s19_pat hiway747.s19 0xD000 file2bepatched.bin
Make sure that you replace "file2bepatched" with the actual name of your bin. Also make sure the name of the bin is simple something like 7747.bin AMUR.bin, no _ or - etc.

Here's a step by step:
Extract HIWAY747.zip to Desktop
copy your bin into the HIWAY747 folder that was just created on your Desktop
Open Command Prompt
Type
Code:
cd desktop
type
Code:
s19_pat hiway747.s19 0xD000 file2bepatched.bin
It should then patch it and should say Done! at the end, If I remember correctly.

Re: How to get higher than 14.7.1 Afr??

Ok I will give that a shot! I didnt know that I had to copy the bin into the 7747 folder. Also when I tried to do that last night the computer said that the s19 was not reconized as a internal or external program or patch-something like that. I'll try again tonight, thanks
