datalogging in tunerpro rt
anyone familiar with tuner pro rt? I am trying to do some datalogging but I keep getting an error message (error creating data log)
I have everything hooked up and the car is reading on the laptop but when i go to push the record button I get the same error message (error creating data Log) anyone had this problem? I have done lots of reading but there is nothing on error messages.
Thanks

Re: datalogging in tunerpro rt
I hope I get this right cause I'm at work and don't have Tunerpro in front of me but
You will have to have an open file to record into.
On the setup ALDL screen, click on "select datalog to record or play back", on the next screen that pops up click "datalogs" then in the blank where you would enter the file to open just type in a file name(I use the date + the log number. example 080608 1) then hit open. it will tell you that file does not exist and ask if you want to creat it, click yes.
You should be able to record now.
I hope I didn't leave anything out, kind of hard to remember what to do without being able to look at it.
Hope that helps.

Re: datalogging in tunerpro rt
After reading another post you made about how to datalog I believe we need to back up and start over. The info I gave in my last post is for recording the datalog. Untill your are connected to the ecm you can't record.
I'll have to wait till I get home in the morning so I can look at Tuner Pro before I try to tell you how to connect. Its been a long night and right now I'm drawing a blank.

Re: datalogging in tunerpro rt
Thank you, that was perfect. I had to create a file first. my other post was a few days old. I was being lazy and did not read the help section in tuner pro so i had the car hooked up i just could not record because i had to make a file. Thanks for all your help.
