I have a 16168625 with a hypertech chip in it, and I have the stock harness and 5.7 from a 93 c1500 with the computer, and it's sitting in a 66 chevy c10 with a th350 trans... I dont care about turning up horsepower, I just want to make it run without a vss and an electronic tranny. Am I better off having a chip made for me or is it relatively simple to use (for example) the ostrich 2.0 to delete the vss and electronically controlled transmission stuff? I have a laptop, and from what I gather I also have an adaptor in my 8625 computer for programming since it has a hypertech chip in it, is there anything else I would need hardware wise besides the ostrich? thanks for any help, and if anyone knows of a more appropriate forum to post this in I'd appreciate that as well. thanks,
