1st gear 5000rpm Popping??
Ok can someone confirm my thoughts on this PLEASE? My tune seems to be good under most throttle conditions, Good blm #'s 126-130. But I istalled my Lc-1 WB and decided to do some Wot runs. In first gear Afr starts to go into the high 11's- 11.6 sometimes lower at about 4500rpm and up. When this happens in first gear it will start to pop out the exhaust and maybe out the intake, but it sounds like the exhaust. The engine lays over a little bit. Now Im using 61lbs injectors at 21psi with a bpw of 110. Should be good right. Now Im wondering should i reduce my Ve2 table in that RPM range until the afr comes in line?? It doesnt do it in second gear at 5000rpm ish wich is where the cam is done. Im using a 7747ecm and $42 bin. Tunerpro and winaldl etc. Does it sound like im going static at the high rpm range in first gear?? I cant datatlog pulse widths. Thanks for any replies, Any info would be greatly appreciated!! THanks.

Why do you feel you are static at 5000 rpms in first gear if WB shows 11.6/1? If static I would think you would be leaner around 14.0/1.
Possibly your ignition system is not providing enough spark under high load. If A/F is rich (11.6) maybe that is more difficult to light off.

Thanks for the reply. I think you may be right. Although I have just reduced the Ve in that area buy about 3% and it pulls past five now. Still in the 11.8 afr range though so time to take out some more fuel I guess.
