Innovate LC-1 firmware update!
FYI, If you have an Innovate LC-1 WBo2, you might want to go to innovates website and d/l the firmware update, and the new logworks to update it with. I just did mine, which is 2 years old, and it may have fixed a few issues, or quirks, I have. I'll have to drive it for a few days and see.
Just wanted to let yous guys know.

No, I am just using it as the datalog. I tried using in place of the NB, but couldn;t get ti to display the same data as the factory NB, so I gave up.

Re: Innovate LC-1 firmware update!
I've been using my LC-1 inplace of the stock sensor for a while now. Try setting the LC-1's upper afr to 14.9@ .850mv and lower to 14.5@ .05mv. Then set the ecm's lower O2 mv to .430; the median mv to .450; and the upper to .470 across the board on each. Runs great for me, just make sure the O2 mv tables are equally spaced from the median voltage, otherwise you'll get some strange results.

Re: Innovate LC-1 firmware update!
what's up with all the pop ups all of a sudden, man!!!
back at the lab, I just run 2 seperate sensors, the wb and the NB, this way it is easier to tell if one is crapped out. like this POS LC-1 is doing to me.

LC-1 is giving me trouble, it is a common occurance since I bought it. I called innovate, got a helpful dude there. I have to yank it out and send it in get looked at/replaced/repaired.

Re: Innovate LC-1 firmware update!
I would urge anyone buying a laptop for tuning to steer clear from a unit that has Vista on it. Dell sells XP or Vista on their units. Or look on ebay for a prior year model unit that has XP. My RS usb-serial did not work on Vista as it was a few years old. Needed to but a cable that was Vista capable but then ended up running XP on new lappy. A royal pain.

Re: Innovate LC-1 firmware update!
I swear this LC-1 is a turd! So I have been chasing intermitten problems, I got my RMA from innovate, so I can send it back. This being my 3rd LC-1 I'm not very happy. But I just realized, using logworks to log instead of the WB display from the WUD, my WOT runs are 10.8 to 11.5 AFR All the while the WUD was saying 12.8 to 13.0 afr, no wonder I can seem to get the WOT so run decent! SO I go into the LM-1 programmer software, and go to change the analog out to 1v @ 10.00 afr, and 5v @ 20.00 AFR, and I click program, shut off the car, reopen the software to make sure the changes took, and the analog 2 settings are back to the factory settings. WTF! Well, hopefully this 3rd and final time of getting a new LC-1, or getting it fixed, it'll work for a long time. If not, it is getting smashed with a ball-peen, and I am buying another brand. I should have read the innovate message boards before buying this thing.

Before you mash it, maybe it could be sold. "As is" of course.

Re: Innovate LC-1 firmware update!
using an old IBM thinkpad 600x, windows XP pro, I have a few different craptops I've used for tuning, this one is the one that gave me the least trouble, as far as USB connection issues and what not. All the machines give me a hard time with trying to emulate, using the USB autoprom. I actually forget that I can emulate becasue it takes sooo much time to get it to even work. If I had the cash, I would get the prominator and be done with it! Or is it the ostrich?? I forget.

Re: Innovate LC-1 firmware update!
I just ordered the Prominator (it uses parallel port). Will be using Thinkpad 2635 with 98, it is rs232 serial/parallel only. works with Datamaster okay.
