BJJD/BDKC bins for an '8625 TBI truck
Greetings.. This is my first post (I've been lurking and reading archives for a few months), so I hope this doesn't constitute PROM begging... I'm new to GM ECM's and automatic transmissions, but I burned my own chips for my previous cars (Mitsu's), and have worked with standalone ECU's enough that I'm not a compete newbie when it comes to fuel injection.
Does anyone have a BJJD bin for an '8625? I'm looking to start tuning my truck ('93 full-size Blazer, TBI, automatic), and hoping I don't have to try pulling the stock EPROM out of the carrier if I can help it (I've got an adapter from Moates.net to put the new chips in).
On the other hand, is there a good reason not to start with a BDKC bin (which I do have...)? It looks awfully similar to what I'm running now -- similar shift points, same annoying TC lockup around 39-40mph, automatic, TBI, etc, etc. I'm wondering if the BDKC is from the regular pickup, and the BJJD I have is just from the full-size Blazer/Jimmys, or if it's a 2WD vs. 4WD thing?)
