Anyone have the AWFY code?

Anyone have the AWFY code?
I started tuning on my friend's 305 TPI/auto car who changed from 19lb/hr injectors to 24 in anticipation of dropping in a 350.
I don't have the hardware to read the memcal directly, so I found AWFU online and started with that.
Anyway, Kevin and Don were absolutely correct in my last thread on this subject. I really had to tweak the fuel tables to get back 128 in addition to changing the injector constant.
I know AWFU is close, but I want to use the correct broadcast code so he doesn't get dinged at the smog station when they scan the car.

Since when do they scan an obd1 car in cali?
Have you looked around the electronics department at Fry's?
I'd think they would have a dbl male header you could shorten to work.

Could could always just tweak the promid in your AWFU bin to whatever it is for AWFY.

Re: Anyone have the AWFY code?
Be careful with THAT AWFY if it originally came from diy-efi.org. That bin is corrupted and shows it being "E7" as the calibration ID - which does not exist. I have it and didn't give it for that very reason.
BTW, it is highly unlikely ANY smog inspector will try and verify a particular bin/memcal for a particular make of car. GM (and other manufacturers) constantly release NEW calibrations (ie. superceed) for various cars.
When a customer complains of "driveability issues", dealerships will check if a particular memcal was superceeded with a new memcal and then replace it to see if it cures the problem. So a person can have a memcal that never came with the car originally.
What they are more likely to do, is review the memcal (if they actually want to drop the computer and open it up - again, highly unlikely) and insure it has the original silver sticker on the eprom window and make sure it doesn't look like it has been tampered with.
In all honesty, this sounds like a lot of worrying about nothing.

When I scan the car, I can read the PROM ID, which then translates back to the broadcast code. THat's what prompted me to think about it. But it sounds like it's much ado about nothing- so I won't worry about it.

You can change the prom ID in the chip easily to match something else. But I've never seen a smog tech plug into the ALDL of an OBD1 car.
