where to find memcal 16163075

1990-1992 305 TPI memcal # 16163075 needed. gmpartsdirect does not recognize this part # in my search.

where else can i look for this?

i'm preparing to do a 870 to corvette SD system swap so that i can log data better.

That eprom is the AXXF for 1991 F-Body 305 TPI Auto, not a Corvette. If you cannot locate it, you can always just get ANY SD 305 TPI F-Body Memcal and then re-program it with the AXXF bin.

Out of curiosity, why do you want the Corvette ECM instead of the 7730 used in SD F-bodies. The 7730 is more readily available and often cheaper at a wrecking yard.

AXXF doesnt yield a result on GMpartsdirect either.

yes, i need a 305 Auto memcal. I will be burning my own bin file, but isnt the memcal what contains the knock sensor controls & limp mode? I have the moates G2 & just need the memcal to plug into it.

i'm a putting it in a 85 cj7 that has a leaky soft top & goes in the mud & it rains a lot of up here in washington.

I actually found this computer is used quite often under a different part # & is very common in the junkyards. I went to a u-pull it & found 3 of them for 10$ each in about 5 minutes in pontiacs.

1227727 has two equivalent ECM numbers which can be used in its place without any problems. These are numbers 16197128, and 16198260.

Just get any 305 SD TPI memcal and reburn the AXXF bin. Can't GM Parts find ANY 1990-1992 SD 305 SD TPI memcals for you? If so, just reprogram over that.

If you are trying to do the search over the Internet, it may not be listed. You may need to go to an actual Dealership.

Also, contact RCAR7395 on TGO's "Virtual JunkYard". They are wrecking a LOT of F-bodies and will be your best source for either the EXACT Memcal or a reasonably close Memcal that can be reprogrammed. Tell him I sent you.

That's a "memcal" but is it the AXXF? Read the silver sticky tag through the "hole" in the blue case and you should see "AXXF 3076" on the tag. If so, that's the correct one.
