Finally got around to some testing...
Finally tried the ARAP code in my '89 IROC yesterday, with only some minor modifications (matched the fan temperature settings to my lower stat, and fixed the "fan inversion" flag).
It seems to run very well as-is, I see no knock even when driven pretty hard, and it feels much stronger in the mid-range rpm's than with the chips I've tried before.
I am going to our local "un-official" track later today to do some more serious tests, with a laptop - Much safer on a 1 mile long airstrip than where I live. (We are fortunate enough to have an abandoned military airstrip just out of town...!).
Will get back to you later with some results?
One question though, what would I need to modify to make it work with a 305?
Anyone tried it? (Have a friend who also would like to start experimenting, and he has a GTA with a 305....)

If you do a search i believe Glenn got the ARAP bin to work with a 1LE 305 5 speed. I think he had to change injector constants...and the rest slips my mind...

Just the injector size. MAF cars don't have to change anything for displacement because they measure air flow. If the car is a standard, you will have to change the Transmission Switch to Manual from Automatic and you will want to increase the idle speed a little. That's basically all I remember having to do, other than some minor tweaking to personal preferences.

Just got home from our local track, my car with the ARAP chip code (The code is almost stock, only minor changes) ran 0-60 in 6.00 seconds, 1/4 mile in 14.45...
Probably could have gotten a better time if I wouldn't have had the trunk full of things
Anyway, some more experimenting and tweaking and this could be real interesting... Things also noticed is lower gas mileage, but since part of the driving since I last filled up was at the track, it is hard to give a fair estimate as to how much better yet....
