7730 and a 4L60E????
I am starting to burn my own eproms now and need some advise. I converted my 93 truck from TBI to TPI. But the truck has a 4L60E in it that has forced me to keep the original ECM along with the TPI ECM. Here's my question...Should I program the TPI ECM as a manual transmission car since the original ECM is actually controlling the 4L60E?

NO. I have an 87 GTA that has a Superramed L98 with a 4L60-E trans mated to it. I tried using a manual program in the engine computer and ran into idle and stall problems. I suggest sticking with the automatic program and just don't hook up the TCC control from the engine puter. My tranny puter is the same one your truck has stock. I am using one wiring harness for both computers, with the exception of the transmission harness. I only tied into Ignition Reference High and Low, TPS sensor, and Map sensor on the TPI harness for the trans puter.
