How accurate is "Block Learn" numbers from diagnostic tools?

I've been recording some BL numbers on my auto xray. Just wondering if I can "rely" on these numbers to indicate where I need more/less fuel.

Are the WOT figures the only ones that are important?

Here is some info recorded at WOT.

3675 RPMS- BLN 128
4250 RPMS- BLN 128
4850 RPMS- BLN 128

This was in 85 degree weather. I have no runs to compare this to in cold weather. But would the colder weather effect this reading?

You can't use your Block Learns at WOT since they're not used or adjusted by the computer, which is why they're at 128. You need to use the O2 sensor to get an idea of approximately how rich/lean you are, and use the trap speeds or a dyno to see if adding or subtracting fuel helps.

what are they adjusted by then? I thought the ECU controls the addition/subtraction of fuel in open loop?

theformula,

Re-Read the old posts on this board or do a general search on the internet that explains how GM EFI systems work. The ECM does not do WOT fuel adjustment based on the O2 ... only part throttle fuel adjustments based on the O2.
