Does anyone know if there is palm pilot software for scanning the ECM through the ALDL connector. I thought I read somewhere about some guys that were working the idea, but I cant remember where.

Dang! That would be awesome if I could use my Palm to scan my car. I hope somebody figures out how to make it work.

I have an old Palm Pilot that I use for simple things (addresses, etc) but I found the pinouts and was going to attempt this myself; apparently it has a direct RS232 connection so you can get the cable for about $20, and make a serial port connection in your car for it. (AKM type cable or Peter G. cable.) Just have to find a suitable language/compiler set that would allow serial port interaction with the Pilot.
I'm trying to get mine setup just for plain 160 baud ('7747) since that's the ECM I'm probably going to use for all my cars.
Anybody know anything about programming the Palm Pilots?
Ken
