305 Based chip amazed me ! Hehe
After reading Kevin91Z's post about running his ZZ4 based engine with a 305 5 speed chip and getting good results I decided to give a try myself. Went to the one and only bin archive (hehe), downloaded the 91Z305T5 bin and went to work. Reset the manual/auto flag, left the injector constant at #19 and that's it. The test drive was AWESOME at part throtle. I really like it. I believe the MUCH improved part throtle response is caused by the much more agressive timing map in this bin. The VE tables look about the same. The car runs a little on the rich side (mostly 111BLMs, but 126 at idle) and it's "okay" at full throtle. I still have to play around with the tables for WOT performance but part throtle is muuucho better

Now thats interesting, because I've run my car with both a 305 5-speed chip and a 350 automatic chip, and I dont feel any difference in the way the car acts.

Well I sure did. And by looking at the timing tables it should. It looks much more agressive then that of a 350.

My base timing is 6. The only thing I did was copy the WOT AFR ratio tables over from the 350 chip and the 90-100kpa VE and timing values from the 350 chip also so WOT performance stayed the same (good!). One other thing I noticed is that when I first start up the car (cold or warm) the engine doesnt rev up to like 1200-2000 then settles down to the idle RPPM after 10-15 seconds. When I start it it goes up to the idle RPM right away and stays there. I like that better.
