making aldl interface...

I'm using Carsten Meyer's schematic @ http://pweb.de.uu.net/pr-meyer.h/aldl.htm . I got all the stuff together, but forgot to ask the guy at the store which way the capacitors go. The end with the short pin has a stripe, but which is it represented by in the diagram?
Thanks,
Dennis K

On the MAX232 + goes to pins 1, 2, 4, 15, 16 and the + side before the 7805, check your work because the MAX232 is unforgiving, will blow in a heartbeat. Hope this helps

Dman,
Take your dumb *** over to one of the other diy sites, they have similar schematics with polarity clearly marked.
Later,
Dennis K

This was an attempt at humor. Had it been an actual example of humor, it would have been followed by incessant laughter and extended snickering. Repeat, this was only an attempt.
