Temporary site for the .bin repository

hey guys. Until TRAXION gets his site up and running, I set up this page temporarily, or who knows maybe for a little longer. It's at http://www.truspeed.dhs.org/bins.html

Right now it only has one year on it (1992) because that's the only year I have bins for. Hehe

At the bottom of the page you'll also see a link for the "incoming" directory where you can see all that has been uploaded and below that link you'll see two buttons. One to browse for the file you want to uploaded off your computer, then another button to actually start the upload to the server.

Let's try to get some bins on there. As people start to upload I will go ahead and add more years to the webpage. I just didnt want all those years in there with blank listings.

I might make a form with check boxes and little text fields where you can input the data about a certain .bin instead of attaching a text file to it.

I'm open to any suggestions/comments

I humbly suggest that this repository does not fill up with bins from the gmecm/diyefi directory. I look forward to seeing some different bins for data comparison.

Well I put ONE on there from the DYI list, just to get things going... that't the 90350cam.bin. Other then that, the JET and ST are my own "creations".

Looks like people are just ignoring it so far... I'm just trying to get things moving before Traxion decides to put his site up. I'll take it down if people arent interested, although I dont see why not since this could be a very nice source of info.

I like what you have done and applaud your initiative. When I visited the site I could not get a handle on getting the bins to download.

DUDE!! That's awesome...I'll upload some of my .bin files when I get home...all for 86-89 '165 fbodys...I think I've even got a V6 .bin sitting there.

Thanks for setting this up...for the time being.

Well right now I'm redesigning it. As it stands right now it's a little too much info for ONE webpage, so I'm doing a frames version with a breakdown by year for stock and aftermarket chips and by ECM fro custom burned chips. It'll be done tonite

As far as downloading bins... you just click on them when you see them on the page OR you click on the link that takes you to the "incoming" directory towards the bottom of the page. That will open up another window with every bint that was uploaded. THen you just double click on those files to download them.

It might take a while to see anything happend when you click on them. That's because they're on an FTP server and it takes time for the broweser to login and request all the info on that file.
