Mine quit working today, couldnt get power to it. Replaced 9 volt, got it to come on.
Plugged it into liter and no aux power detected, after playing with the socket for awhile I realized it was on the LM1 box itself.
The b+ at the head unit is only soldered to the board whereas every other switch or connector is thru the board.
So word to the wise if u have power failure problems at the ehad unit, dissassemble your unit and look at the solder joint where u plug in the power to.
I resoldered mine and also glued the socket thru 2 dowels that protrude thru the board, but are not actually glued or melted thru as I have commonly seen on other types of products.
Only issue I have had so far in 1.5yrs of ownership, guess I wont complain and mine is from the earliest batch realeased, wonder if this is something that was fixed in their revisisions.

I've also had to resolder at least 4 different LM1's, but we are taking them in and out of the cars frequently. Some of the pads are difficult to get to, though. I've had to burn through the plastic a little to get at some. I don't remember having to re-repair any that have been soldered with a little extra solder (with no other reinforcement), but yeah, that factory job simply isn't strong enough for the task.

Car: 82 ElCamino, looking for a 3rd gen
Engine: 305 TPI(427SB in progress) 730 $8D
Transmission: THM350 (Getting a 4L80E soon)
Axle/Gears: 10 Bolt w/ 2.43 gears :(
I have had to resolder the analog out on mine a few times since I bought it. When I sent it in last time due to a firmware update failure they added a support under the analog out to keep it from breaking the solder joints and coming off the board. Other than that little problem I love the thing and there customer service is great.
