Arg...stupid n00b & mask issues...
Ok, see if you can help a guy out...
I got an 8625 ECU, originally a BBNT broadcast code but that chip has been hacked out and a zif soldered in its place with an ostrich attached.
I'm currently working on an adapter from 7747-->8625 so I can plug this ECU into my trucks harness, but that is (temporarily) at a standstill. I want to get everything in order so I can start tuning as soon as I get the harness done, so...
I understand that this ECU's mask is the $E6, please correct me if I am wrong. I downloaded a set of E6 bins off of moates.net's upload/download ftp, so I have some to try starting the truck with.
I also found an 8625 Ads file so that I can start using my mastach aldl interface with tunerproRT once I get the adapter done.
My problem now, is that I want to be able to edit variables in the bin in tunerpro, which means I need either a .ecu or .xdf file for the 8625. Understanding that its an $E6 mask, I tried the E6 .xdf included with tunerproRT, only to find that it thinks that the bin is a Maf, when in fact it is going into a truck with a speed density system.
So, can someone please either email kris@speedyoldtruck.com or attach to this thread an 8625 Speed Density .ecu or .xdf file that will work with tunerpro? Or explain what I'm doing wrong?!
Thanks!

Sounds like you've confused the E6, with the 6E.

I was under the impression that the 68625 could run any of several masks, and most of the guys doing the swap which you mention are running the $0D mask?
