been burning chips for several years, decide to use the ostrich and emulate. loaded drivers, tunercat rt, connected ribbon correctly, etc. tunercat emulates and synconizes, tryed loading with key on and off, truck runs in limp mode and service engine lite. turn the key on load emulator and i can hear my injectors clicking away without the engine running, all kinds of funny noises. try starting and back into limp mode.

craig send me new ostrich, i plugged in the exact same way and wala worked great. i was able to change spark, and fuel for about 1/2hr. thought problem was resolved. put truck back into garage and went to work for 3shifts, never touched the truck. went to start it today with no laptop connect and it ran in limp mode. connected the laptop and same problems dido over, with the first ostrich.

chip is 27c256. i am lost, man it ran great once, what the hell happened. i tried everything from comport changes, reduced byte transfers everything and the same thing. removed all the hardware and plugged back in, check my zif socket to memcal, etc etc, even change the batteries in the ostrich. can anyone help!

tunercat rt is all green on the upload and synco.

What happens when you upload a bin to the Ostrich, then plug the ostrich header into your chip burner/reader and read it back with that? Does it match?

If so, the Ostrich may not be the issue.

I wish that I had thought to try this with my ostrich, before I sent it back for testing. Sounds like good advice.
